Before his solo debut in 2017, Spider-Man will appear in the third Captain America film!

Fresh off the recent casting news of the new Spider-Man, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed with Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige that Tom Holland is being sent to the Captain America: Civil War set in Georgia to film scenes as Spider-Man.

The Hollywood Reporter’s Gregg Kilday confirms:

“Holland will report immediately to the set of the currently shooting Captain America: Civil War, which Marvel has scheduled for a May 6, 2016, release and in which the newest Spider-Man will make his first onscreen appearance.”

In the Civil War comic book arc, Spider-Man has a pivotal role, siding with Iron Man and later with Captain America.
